Job summary

Smile Brands Inc. is seeking a Specialty Dental Assistant for its Castle Dental team in the Nashville area. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a varied and flexible work environment, supporting a Periodontist across multiple teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of dental assisting experience and certifications such as Dental Radiology and CPR/BLS. With responsibilities including assisting during procedures and educating patients, this is a fulfilling opportunity in a community-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience (Specialty experience preferred).
• Meet state-specific Registered Dental Assistant requirements.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA/HIPAA standards.

We’re currently looking for a Specialty Dental Assistant to join our Castle Dental team in the Nashville market. This is a part‑time position, traveling throughout the market supporting our Periodontist. An ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working across multiple teams and office environments.

Schedule

2‑3 days every other week, 8am – 5pm schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort
• Take and develop dental x‑rays as needed
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms following infection control protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post‑treatment care, and dental procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience (Specialty experience preferred)
• Meet the state‑specific Registered Dental Assistant credentialing requirements
• Dental Radiology Certification (X‑Ray)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards
• Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care

Compensation

$16–$18/hr
