Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Licensed in Indiana to take dental radiographs or provisional license within 6 months of graduation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Dental Assisting National Board Certification (preferred).
• At least one year of experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred for higher levels).

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares patients for treatment, including seating and positioning.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Exposes and evaluates radiographs for diagnostic quality.
• Assists with four-handed dentistry and basic restorative procedures.
• Transfers dental instruments and supplies.
• Performs sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Prepares procedural trays and sets up armamentaria.
• Maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
