Job summary

Abelson & Mirsky Dental Group in New York, NY is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. You will assist chairside during procedures, prepare rooms, and help maintain accurate patient charts with care.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a valid dental assisting certificate, and current X-ray and infection control certifications. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; OSHA protocols must be followed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a dental assistant.
• Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program.
• Current dental assistant license or CDA.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting during dental procedures.
• Sterilization and prepping rooms for patients.
• Experience with taking x-rays.
• Charting and documentation of patient information.
• Maintaining inventory of dental supplies and ordering as needed.
• Following OSHA Protocols.
• Ability to be cross trained at the front desk (scheduling, phones, messages).

Requirements

• License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Must have 2+ years experience
• Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program

Preferences

• Must have doctors as professional references and/or professors from a dental assisting school.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
