Job summary

The Advanced Dental Center of Cedar Knolls is seeking a friendly and skilled Dental Assistant to join our long-standing practice in Cedar Knolls, NJ. You will welcome patients, discuss care plans, take vital signs, and assist the dentist during examinations and procedures in a patient‑focused, hospitable environment.

We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $26–$36, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential for growth as our team expands.

Qualifications

• NJ X-ray license required.
• Current RDA licensure preferred.
• 1–2 years of dental assistant experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Explain the dental care plan to patients and answer questions.
• Take vital signs and record medical history.
• Prep sterilized equipment and assist dentist during procedures.

This is a long standing dental office in the heart of morristown. It's a dental office within the Advanced Medical Center of Cedar Knolls. We have 5 ops, a cbct machine, cereq, ITERO lumina scanner, Dandy scanner, and implement evidence based dentistry. Our philosophy is providing comprehensive dental care in a very hospitable approach. Our hygiene program is dedicated to patient focused care along with educating our patients to maintain their well being. Dr. Zaidi is the owner of the office and is also faculty at the NYU dental school in the implant program. He's warm and easy to work with. We are looking for a long term team member to grow with our office.

Pay

• $26 - $36 per hour

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Monday: 8-6, lunch 1-2
Tuesday: 9-7 lunch 2-3
Thursday: 8-6 lunch 1-2

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• X-ray license in NJ - Required
• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure - Preferred
• Previous experience as a dental assistant- 1-2 years preferred
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care
