Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with state certification/licensure as required.
• State-mandated certifications/licensures (e.g., coronal polish, radiograph exposure, ultrasonic scaling).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment; prepare patients for treatment; assist doctors for efficient care.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, DOL and HR policies.
