Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
CA Registered Dental Assistant license is required.
X-Ray license required.
CA driver’s license with proof of auto insurance is required.
Current BLS certification from an AHA-approved source is required upon hire and maintained.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or (English/Arabic) preferred.
One year of registered dental assisting or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality dental hygiene within the scope of service and assess conditions.
Document dental history and report observations to staff.
Provide chair-side assistance to dentist during procedures.
Institute emergency measures as needed during treatment.
Evaluate patients and implement treatment plans under dentist supervision.
Deliver direct patient care including cleaning, X-rays, sealants, fluorides, impressions.
Document findings and outcomes, and educate on oral health prevention.
Travel to offsite locations to support Mobile Dental Services.
