Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant for a per diem role to support dental hygiene protocols and assist providers with documenting patient findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.

The position offers shifts based on clinic needs, typically Monday–Friday during standard hours, with potential travel to offsite locations for mobile services. CA licensure and BLS are required, with bilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CA Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• X-Ray license required.
• CA driver license and proof of insurance required.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene within standard care.
• Document dental history, findings and treatment plans.
• Provide chair-side assist to dentist for tests and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies during treatment.
• Deliver patient care including cleanings, x-rays, sealants and fluoride.
• Document all findings and outcomes.
• Educate patients on oral health and prevention.
• Travel to offsite locations to provide services as needed.
