Job summary

Espire Dental is seeking a part-time dental assistant to support patient care and clinical operations. You will prepare patients, sterilize instruments, assist dentists and hygienists, manage records, and provide post-procedure instructions. The role emphasizes patient experience, attention to detail, and team collaboration.

Experience with Cerec, intraoral scanning, sedation, implants, and EMR systems is a plus. Willingness to travel for training is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Preparing patients for dental work.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and setting up trays.
• Assisting dentists with emergencies when necessary.
• Assisting hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Providing great patient care.
• Recording treatment information in patient records.
• Exposing dental x-rays and caring for x-ray equipment.
• Giving patients information on dental hygiene and plaque control.
• Collecting medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Providing postoperative instructions as directed.
• Caring for dental equipment.
• Forming preliminary impressions for study casts.
• Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Fabricating temporary restorations and impressions.
