Job summary

Espire is seeking a dedicated dental assistant who will prepare patients for procedures, assist with procedures and emergencies, and ensure excellent patient care. You will help with infection control, x-rays, and dental imaging, while supporting dentists and hygienists and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications include familiarity with dental equipment; Cerec and intraoral scanning are a plus, as is experience with digital records and potential travel for training.

• Experience with sedation and dental implant placement/restoration a plus.
• Comfort with training and travel as needed.
• Experience using digital technology and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental work.
• Assist with infection control, sterilize instruments, and set up trays.
• Assist dentists with medical and dental emergencies.
• Support hygienists during procedures as needed.
• Provide great patient care and record treatment information.
• Expose dental x-rays and care for x-ray equipment.
• Educate patients on dental hygiene and plaque control.
• Collect patient histories and vital signs; provide postoperative instructions.
• Care for dental equipment and inventory, and fabricate temporary restorations.
