Job summary

Wood River Health in Hope Valley, RI is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our clinical team onsite at multiple locations. The role supports the dentist during procedures, maintains infection control, and helps ensure patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Radiation Health and Safety required.
• Minimum of one year dental office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during operative, endodontic, prosthodontic and surgical procedures using four-handed techniques.
• Position and expose digital radiography sensors.
• Take impressions of patients' teeth for cast models.
• Review and record patient medical history and vital signs.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments.
• Monitor supplies and order as needed for the dental operatory.
• Provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene guidance to patients.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
