Job summary

The Providence Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Dental Assistant for full-time hours (30-40 per week) in Providence, RI.

Qualifications

• Completion of a dental assisting program or 12 – 18 months of dental assisting experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of both.
• Basic third party payer knowledge, gained through education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance to dentist and/or dental hygienist in operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic, and oral surgical procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, organize and set up dental instruments and equipment; ensure instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed.
• Monitor and maintain dental equipment such as compressors, evacuation systems, radiographic developing equipment, sterilizers, and light-curing units.
