Job summary

Centurion is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Madison Correctional Facility in Madison, Indiana. The role reports to the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in a correctional setting, focusing on chairside dentistry and operatory prep.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a dental assisting program or 6 months' experience, Dental Radiology certification, and CPR; Expanded Duty certification is a plus. TB screening and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a technical dental assisting program or minimum six months of experience.
• Certification in Dental Radiology required.
• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred.
• Must show current PPD tuberculosis screening documentation.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Complete administrative tasks as needed.

We have partnered with Exos as our subcontractor for Dental Assistant services.We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Madison Correctional Facility located in Madison, Indiana.The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.Essential Duties:• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments• Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory• Operating radiographic equipment• Administrative tasks as needed• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required• Certification in Dental Radiology required• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background checkShift:Part-time days, 20 hours per weekCenturion is the provider of healthcare services for the Indiana DOC.
