Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a full-time Mon–Tues schedule in Windermere, FL. The position requires dental assistant experience and state-specific x-ray certification if required.

You will support dentists, take x-rays, manage Dentrix scheduling, and uphold safety and HIPAA standards. Join a stable team with over 20 years of experience and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Experience in a fast-paced dental setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare the treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory and expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
