Job summary

Pelican Park Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 8am-4pm. You will greet patients, review health histories, take X-rays, and provide four-handed support to dentists using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

We value safety, continuous learning, and a collaborative culture. Eligible candidates will have 1+ years of chairside experience, Dentrix familiarity, and any state-required certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of chairside dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting.
• Dentrix or other dental software experience.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustaining patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during procedures in accordance with state act.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
