Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in Tomball, TX to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, take and process x-rays, and provide comprehensive chairside support using four-handed dentistry. You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, maintain safety protocols, and help optimize office workflow.

The role emphasizes patient care, ongoing education, and collaboration with providers to deliver high-quality dental services in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protecting PHI as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.
