Job summary

Wainwright Dental & Associates in Tomball, TX is recruiting a Dental Assistant to join our team under Heartland Dental. The role emphasizes patient greeting, health-history review, x-rays (iTero 3D), chairside support, and Dentrix scheduling within a safety-focused practice.

The ideal candidate will have dental assistant certification (and/or x-ray certification) and be adept at patient education and PHI protection. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry).
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room adhering to safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders; monitor inventory.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
