Midtown Dental Associates in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Dental Assistant to join our patient‑focused team. You’ll use Dentrix, assist with implants, crowns, bridges, and temp crowns, and support clinicians with four‑handed dentistry while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and sustain patient comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following OSHA & CDC safety protocols.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
