Job summary

Streets of St. Charles Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll support dentists with four-handed dentistry, take and process x-rays, and chart in Dentrix. Greet patients, review health history, and ensure safety throughout treatment.

You’ll also manage supplies, participate in training, and help maximize office workflow in a collaborative setting. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification includes dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification where required by state law.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate as treatment progresses.
• Review health history to ensure quality care and safety.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments with standard equipment.
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a variety of procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms adhering to safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
