Job summary

Lucie Dental is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our Heartland Dental supported team in Port Saint Lucie. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide chairside assistance while upholding safety standards.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling, manage supplies, and collaborate with providers to optimize office workflow. A strong emphasis on patient care and HIPAA training is required to protect PHI.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and maintain patient comfort while educating during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists per state practice act.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC.
• Manage supplies and place orders to maintain office efficiency.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
