Job summary

Heartland Dental's Dentistry of Miami is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care, assisting dentists with a range of procedures, and maintaining a compliant, efficient workflow.

You’ll work with Dentrix for scheduling and charting, support safety protocols, and participate in ongoing education. The position offers competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment within a national network.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and sustain patient comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during procedures in accordance with state acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with safety protocols and OSHA / CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
