McDonogh Dental, part of the Heartland Dental network, is seeking a Dental Assistant who combines compassionate patient care with technical proficiency. You'll work with state-of-the-art technology, support dentists in a fast-paced office, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on learning and quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes four-handed dentistry, charting in Dentrix, safe workflow, and ongoing training to advance your skills in a stable, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state act
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• HIPAA training and PHI protection requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment
• Review patient health history for quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols per OSHA & CDC
• Manage supply and inventory, place and expedite orders
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow
