Job summary

Cardinal Dental Care in Melissa, TX is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our state-of-the-art, patient-focused team. Ideal candidates are comfortable with Dentrix, implants, and temporary crowns, and will contribute positively to our supportive office environment.

You will assist with a variety of procedures, maintain strict safety standards, and help optimize office workflow using Heartland Dental systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment is preferred.
• Certification in dental assisting and x-ray per state requirements may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed) to dentists during various procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
• Manage inventory and place orders as needed.
