Heartland Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for Dental Care of Westminster in Westminster, MD. You’ll greet patients, support clinicians, take x-rays, and help maintain a smooth office workflow with state-of-the-art technology.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients from the start of their dental journey and sustain patient comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to inform care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide range of procedures per state guidelines.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with strict safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supplies and inventory and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
