Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a skilled dental assistant to support multi-specialty faculty in CDM clinics. You will perform chairside assistance, prep operatories, and manage sterilization while adhering to infection control standards.

Responsibilities include radiographs, patient transport, chart updates in the EHR, and inventory management. A high school diploma with ADA dental assisting training or 3 years of experience is required; Radiation Safety certification is needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; completion of ADA-accredited dental assisting program or 3 years dental assisting experience.
• Radiation Safety certification required for x-ray positions.
• Proficiency with EHR and dental imaging software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist four-handed dentistry for multiple specialties under supervision.
• Set up operatory and maintain sterilization and infection control across clinics.
• Acquire radiographs per treatment plan following safety standards.
• Assist in patient transport, charting, and privacy maintenance.
• Maintain dental supplies and inventory; support clinic administrative tasks.
