Job summary

Affordable Dentures & Implants in Texas seeks a Dental Assistant to provide chairside support across denture procedures, implants, oral surgery and removable prosthetics. You will assist dentists, prepare operatories, take impressions and educate patients on plans and care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Dental Assistant and X-ray certification as required by state.
Strong communication and patient service skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding patient care and create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in through treatment.
Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials before each patient appointment.
Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments.
Take and assist with alginate denture impressions, select appropriate impression trays, and prepare wax bites under dentist direction.
Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties where permitted by state law.
Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care instructions, and financial packages.
Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
Maintain strict infection prevention and sterilization standards by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and operatories.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
Support daily office operations, including maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.
Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities as needed.
Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
