Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking an on-call Dental Assistant at our Federal Way Dental Clinic. The role supports the dental team in procedures and patient care, with focus on accuracy in records, inventory management, and safety protocol adherence.
Ideal candidates hold WA licensure and BLS, are fluent in English, and may be bilingual in English/Spanish. Prior dental assistant experience is preferred, and duties include training new staff and maintaining quality care.

Hourly Rate: $21.69 - $23.57
On‑call Dental Assistant position available for our Federal Way Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery procedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act.
Major duties include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies. The assistant will also help train new Dental Assistants, organize schedules, and generate checklists for maintenance of dental procedures. Candidates with previous orthodontic experience are preferred.
Dental Assistant II – applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a college, technical institute, or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months of work experience. Employees with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience.
Dental Assistant III – applicant must be knowledgeable of proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Applicant must have 2 years working experience. Employees with no formal training must have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
