Hourly Rate: $21.69 – $23.57
On‑call Dental Assistant position available for our Federal Way Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act. Other responsibilities include assisting in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery procedures and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act. Major duties: maintaining records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies. Candidate will also assist in training new Dental Assistants, organizing schedules, and generating checklists for maintenance of dental procedures. Candidates with previous orthodontic experience are preferred.
As a Dental Assistant II, applicant must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a college, technical institute or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months of work experience is required. Employees with no formal training must have a minimum of 18 months of work experience in a Dental Assistant position.
As a Dental Assistant III, applicant must be knowledgeable of the proper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI. Able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Applicant must have 2 years of working experience. Employees with no formal training must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Dental Assistant position.
