Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for our Everett Dental Clinic. You will assist in delivering dental procedures in compliance with the WA State Dental Practice Act and maintain proper records.

Job description

Position Summary

Full‑time Dental Assistant position available for our Everett Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the "WA State Dental Practice Act". Other responsibilities include assisting in restoratives, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery and any other procedures allowed by the "WA Dental Practice Act".

Major duties: maintain proper records for MSDS, spore test, inventory of dental supplies; assist in training new Dental Assistants and organizing schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a valid WA State license, BLS certification, organizational skills, dental record experience, and familiarity with computers.
• Excellent customer service skills; must communicate, read, write in English and interpret common written materials about dentistry.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.
• Dental Assistant II: completed a formal Dental Assistant program and minimum 6 months work experience; untrained: 18 months experience.
• Dental Assistant III: knowledgeable in sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QI; able to duplicate and mount radiographs, place temporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, place retraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and give fluoride treatments. Minimum 2 years experience; untrained: 3 years experience.
