Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Copperfield Crossing Dental team in Texas. You will greet patients, review health histories, and support clinicians with a range of procedures using state-of-the-art technology like iTero scanners and Dentrix for scheduling.

You’ll be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, maintaining safety protocols, and managing supplies while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• PHI handling and HIPAA training per role requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography)
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow
