Job summary

Heartland Dental in Killeen, TX is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a growing team that prioritizes patient care, safety, and learning. The role involves four-handed chairside assistance, radiographs, and Dentrix charting in a supportive environment with modern technology.

The ideal candidate has experience with Dentrix, is comfortable with iTero/3D imaging, and holds dental assisting and/or x-ray certifications. A collaborative, detail‑oriented team player will fit best.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certifications as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure their comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review health history to support quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and other diagnostics (iTero, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
