Job summary

Heartland Dental is hiring a Dental Assistant for our Davenport, FL office on Workman Way. The role involves greeting patients, reviewing health history, taking x-rays, and providing thorough chairside assistance in a supportive, team-driven environment.

We offer state-of-the-art technology, ongoing education, and growth within a secure company with 20+ years of experience. Mon-Fri schedule; weekends off; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification per state requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate for treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.
