Job summary

Green Valley Dental Care in Schertz, TX is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will support dentists with four-handed dentistry, take x-rays, and manage patient education while upholding safety and HIPAA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has Dentrix experience, familiarity with implants and temporary crowns, and a collaborative team mindset. A fast-paced, patient-centric atmosphere with ongoing training awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience with dental procedures and terminology.
• Fast-paced, customer-centric environment experience.
• Certification in dental assisting and/or x-ray where required by law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Regular HIPAA training and PHI protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance with dentists and four-handed dentistry.
• Use Dentrix for appointment scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the Heartland Dental team to improve workflow.
