Heartland Dental LLC, the nation's largest dental support organization, invites a Full-Time Dental Assistant to join LWSS Family Dentistry Virginia Beach Kempsville Road. You will be part of a patient-focused team that values collaboration, learning, and community.

You will greet patients, handle front-office tasks, and use Dentrix for scheduling and records while supporting multiple providers. A HS diploma, valid X-ray permit, and 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State-issued Dental Assistant Permit with X-ray credentials.
• Minimum 1 year of dental assistant experience.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a great first impression.
• Manage front office duties, including phones, mail, and emails.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on benefits.
• Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
