LWSS Family Dentistry Wards Corner Pedo in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a Heartland Dental Supported Practice. You will greet patients, assist during procedures, and help maintain a positive patient experience in a team-focused environment.

Qualification requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a state dental assistant permit with X-ray credentials, and at least one year of experience. Training and CE classes are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-issued dental assistant permit and X-ray credentials.
• At least 1 year dental assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate them during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory and place expediting orders.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
