Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• State Issued Dental Assistant Permit & X-Ray Credentials
• 1 Year of Dental Assistant Experience
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Dentrix or other dental software experience
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Collaborative team player who thrives in supportive environments
• Dedicated, dependable with a positive attitude and service-oriented mindset
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Adaptable to changing workflows and team dynamics

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and sustain patient comfort with education throughout treatment
• Conduct a thorough review of health history to provide quality care
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow
