Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC partners with Family Dental Care of Wilmington to recruit an experienced Dental Assistant. You’ll greet patients, review health histories, and support clinicians with four-handed dentistry using state-of-the-art technology.

The role emphasizes patient education, maintaining safety with OSHA and CDC guidelines, managing supplies, and using Dentrix for scheduling. You’ll join a collaborative team in a stable organization with extensive support and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of their dental journey.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with OSHA & CDC guidelines and safety protocols.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with the providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
