Job summary

Heartland Dental Deltona is seeking an energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will greet patients, assist with procedures, and ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to completion.

Responsibilities include reviewing health histories, taking X-rays, and using Dentrix for scheduling and records. Expect a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and development within a well-established practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in general dentistry and strong patient-focused care.
• Good communication and organizational skills for a fast-paced practice.
• HIPAA awareness and ability to protect patient information as required by law.
• Active certification in dental assisting and/or x-ray as applicable by state rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the start of their dental journey and educate patients during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure high-quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
