Job summary

Community Health Programs, Inc. is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to support CHP dentists and hygienists. The role includes reception duties, patient preparation, radiographs, vitals, chair-side assistance, and cross-site coverage.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, taking medical histories, documenting medications, sterilizing instruments, scheduling, and assisting at multiple CHP locations. CPR and DANB certification are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA-registered certified dental assistant.
• DANB certification required; CPR license maintained.
• Front desk reception experience is a plus; bilingual skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with instruments, seating patients, room prep and instrument cleaning.
• Greet patients and escort to treatment room; take vitals for dentist evaluation.
• Take dental intra-oral radiographs and document medical history.
• Document medications, medical conditions and pre-med as needed.
• Provide chair-side assistance during procedures; perform lab tasks (denture/crown prep).
• Sterilize instruments; set up/clean treatment rooms; follow safety protocols.
• Answer phones; schedule appointments; collect co-pays when applicable.
• Relieve receptionist when needed; open/close office; confirm upcoming appointments.
• Observe security; flexible to work at other CHP sites; other duties as assigned.
