Job summary

Community Health Programs (CHP) Great Barrington Dental Center in Great Barrington, MA is hiring a Certified Dental Assistant. You will assist CHP dentists and dental hygienists, support front desk reception, and help maintain a clean, compliant dental practice.

The role requires MA certification as a Dental Assistant, strong communication, and ability to work a flexible schedule including some Saturdays. Training and growth opportunities are offered within CHP's nonprofit network.

Qualifications

• Must be listed with the State of Massachusetts as a Registered Certified Dental Assistant.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist CHP dentists with instruments, seating patients, room preparation and instrument cleaning.
• Greet patients on arrival and escort to treatment room.
• Take patient vitals and record for dentist evaluation.
• Take dental intra-oral and radiographs.
• Gather patient’s medical history and current medications.
• Document patient’s blood pressure, weight and smoking status.
• Provide chair-side assistance during procedures as directed by dentist.
• Assist with lab tasks including denture and crown preparation.
