Job summary

CompleteCare in Bridgeton, New Jersey, seeks a Dental Assistant to support licensed dentists in the operatory and to maintain a clean, organized treatment area. You will assist with patient prep, take X-rays, prepare the operatory, and ensure proper infection control and instrument processing.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient records, exposing radiographs, assisting four-handed dentistry, and providing post-op instructions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an approved educational program in dental assisting.
• Licensed registration certificate in x-ray technology approved by the Department of Environmental Protection.
• CPR Required
• Bilingual (Spanish) desired.
• Works with hazardous and bio-hazardous materials. Long hours of standing, walking.

Responsibilities

• Greets patient in the waiting area and escorts them to the treatment area.
• Reviews dental records including next procedure, X-rays and referrals.
• Takes and records vital signs and dental radiographs.
• Prepares the operatory and explains procedures to patients.
• Performs four-handed dentistry and assists in training students and new staff.
• Maintains logs for bio, autoclave/sterilization, and instrument rotation.
• Provides post-op instructions to patients after extractions.

Education

Licensed x-ray technology registration
