Specialty1 Partners’ Periodontal Associates - Lyndhurst is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

You will greet patients, prepare them for treatment, set up instruments, assist with 4-handed dentistry, maintain records, and support the Dentist while delivering patient comfort and high-quality care. This role requires excellent communication, reliability, and adaptability to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ year proven experience as dental assistant, specialty preferred.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and infection control.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks and assist with payments.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office.
• Preparing patients for treatment and ensuring comfort.
• Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations.
• Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Scheduling appointments and post-op visits.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with payments.
