Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the Charleston office. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide chairside support with a focus on safety and patient comfort.

The role requires certs in dental assisting and X-ray, strong communication, and proficiency with Dentrix. Growth opportunities and team-based support are emphasized in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments.
• Provide chairside assistance to supported dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room per safety protocols.
• Manage supplies and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team to implement Heartland systems.
