North Charleston Family Dental, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support doctors with four-handed dentistry, manage patient flow, take x-rays, and keep the sterile field compliant with OSHA and HIPAA requirements.

The ideal candidate has dental assisting certification (and/or x-ray certification where required), strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualificações

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Regular HIPAA training and PHI protection responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
