Job summary

Smile Design Dental Center is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team. The Heartland Dental support network backs our practice with professional resources and a strong culture of patient-first care.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll greet patients, perform x-rays and chairside assistance, and help maintain a safe, efficient operatory environment using Dentrix for scheduling and records.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate throughout treatment.
• Review health history to support quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place expeditious orders; support office workflow.
