Job summary

Willamette Dental Group in Beaverton seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists, hygienists, and other providers. You will prepare instruments, assist in four-handed dentistry, take radiographs, and counsel patients on oral care while maintaining sterilization and PPE standards.

Responsibilities include patient history intake, vital signs, impressions, and flexible travel between WD locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with credentials to function as a dental assistant per state requirements.
• Desired: graduation from an ADA accredited dental assisting program and/or EFDA.
• Oregon radiology proficiency required; EFDA within 180 days of hire; sealant certification; BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for dental procedures.
• Assist dentist in four-handed dentistry under supervision.
• Counsel patients on post-operative care and oral health; explain evidence-based dentistry.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Take patient medical histories and vitals (blood pressure, pulse).
• Take impressions for study models.
• Maintain sterilization area and equipment; ensure PPE compliance.
• Travel to other Willamette Dental locations within a reasonable range as needed.
