Job summary

Willamette Dental Group in Lincoln City, OR is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant. The schedule is four 10-hour days with a competitive range of $23–$36 per hour. You will assist dentists, handle radiography, sterilization, patient comfort and safety, and travel to other WD locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED and credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements.
• Desired: Graduation from an ADA accredited dental assisting program and/or an EFDA.
• Oregon Radiology Proficiency certification required.
• EFDA within 180 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, while ensuring patient comfort.
• Work under a dentist's supervision performing four-handed dentistry as outlined by state practice acts.
• Demonstrate excellent communication; counsel patients on postoperative care and oral health, applying evidence-based dentistry.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Inquire about medical history and measure blood pressure and pulse.
• Take impressions of teeth for study casts.
• Clean and sterilize instruments per policy and OSHA/WISHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized sterilization area.
• Wear PPE including N95 respirators and other PPE as required.
• Travel to Willamette Dental locations within a reasonable range as needed.
• Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality.
