Qualifications

• Prior dental experience is required.
• Completion of accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize confidently.
• A team-first mindset and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls with professionalism and empathy.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and keep the day running smoothly.
• Check patients in and out with a welcoming presence.
• Document patient financial and insurance responsibility with 100% accuracy.
• Collect payments for procedures and assist with past-due balances respectfully.
• Proactively call patients due for service or to book.
• Use scheduling tools to fill cancellations and past-due appointments.
• Support morning huddles and help the team stay aligned.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist clinicians with treatment and documentation.
• Provide chairside support and patient education.
• Take digital radiographs/X-rays.
• Assist hygienists and doctors with charting.
• Take detailed notes and record key information accurately.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment while keeping quality high.
• Learn dental software or bring experience with it.
• Maintain high sanitization standards in a sterile setting.
• Sanitize operatories, instrument sterilization, stock supplies, and check in lab cases.
