The ideal candidate has dental assisting experience, X-ray certification, and a patient‑focused, team‑oriented approach. Mondays may involve additional front-office coordination, offering variety and growth within a modern practice.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatment planning.
• X-ray certification and other applicable Arizona requirements.
• Strong patient communication and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced practice.
• Willingness to cross-train and provide front-office support when needed.
• Team-oriented approach and flexibility to support the needs of the practice.
• Active Dental Assistant Certification or Registration (if required by state).
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Dental radiology certification (if required by state).
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Preferred: EFDA Certification, Coronal Polishing Certification, Sealant Certification, Experience with digital radiography, dental software and EMR, PPO/FFS/Medicaid environments.
• Bilingual skills (if applicable to market).

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures.
• Prepare and turn over treatment rooms.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
• Take dental X-rays and perform other permitted assisting functions.
• Review and prepare for the daily patient schedule.
• Maintain clinical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Provide a positive and comfortable patient experience.
• Communicate effectively with the doctor, hygienists, and front-office team.
• Cross-train on front-office operations and provide coverage as needed.
• Assist with patient coordination, scheduling, treatment-plan follow-up, and other administrative functions when supporting the front desk.
