Job summary

Waterway Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. This role supports clinicians with chairside assistance, takes X-rays, and helps with patient education in a fast-paced setting.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling and records, maintain a safe treatment room, and handle supplies while upholding HIPAA and PHI protections. A supportive environment emphasizes growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• HIPAA training awareness and PHI protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide education.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed) during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory, place and expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve workflow.
