Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and the clinical team, preparing patients and rooms, assisting during procedures, and educating patients to ensure a welcoming visit.

You will collaborate with dental professionals, maintain infection control, take X‑rays where permitted, and help deliver high‑quality care in a supportive environment at Smile Brands‑affiliated practices.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain before start date.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred but not required depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records where permitted by state regulations.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional care.
